Don't know what they taught in your law school, Dennis, but in the one I attended I learned that there are 23 -- count 'em, twenty-three -- exceptions to the federal rules on hearsay, all of which make matters admissable into evidence. Not that any one of those 23 were relevant, since this was an investigation, not a trial.
Of course, if Trump actually wanted direct evidence and due process, he himself held the password: All he had to do was tell his minions they were free to testify. Or did you miss that little bit of the spectacle, Dennis? |
