If you read the reporting on this, it was an open secret - the supervisors directed these illegals to where they could get false documentation. It's not just at the winery; there are undocumented workers at a number of Trump properties, including personal housekeepers at his resort in NJ. They get dismissed as they are caught, but the culture there has been to look away.
I agree that they should have come here legally, but they didn't - and supervisory employees at the Trump Organization knew that, hired them anyway, and helped them get false documents. And we're supposed to believe that NO ONE higher up the food chain knew this was going on at multiple properties? |
