Donald Trump ran -- and won -- the presidency on an anti-immigration platform, and he has continued to spew his nativist bile in the 3-plus years since. He is not the average Joe running a convenience store with a Pakistani cashier who has overstayed his visa. The media have been all over the issue of undocumented immigrants in Trump businesses for the duration of his presidency so any excuse of ignorance has long since lost any legitimacy. Any condemnation he receives for hypocrisy at this point is well earned.
