No leader goes into a press conference cold. they ALL have material they can refer to in order to jog their memories. That leader you talk about who knows the answer to everything doesn't exist.
And why would having photos of the journalists be a problem? He has been in office 60 days, this was his first press conference, and the WH press corps are not the same people he talked to on the campaign trail. Which looks better - him calling a reporter by name, or just pointing randomly and saying "you"?
Do you really believe that Trump or any other president walked into a press conference without knowing some or all of the questions in advance? If so, you don;t understand how this works. |
