As to the first article you cited - why do we care about what's happening at the Spanish border? Yes, Mexico has a border with Spain, and so do we - it's called the Atlantic Ocean. I suspect that by the time they finish swimming across that, they'll be too tired to rush anyone.
The second article talks about ENCOUNTERS with migrants - that just means every time a border guard comes across a migrant attempting to enter the country illegally. That's a far cry from migrants rushing the border and overwhelming border guards.
