The way to get the testing problem under control is to make more home tests readily available. As I said, FL had a million of them collecting dust until they expired at the end of December. Somebody dropped the ball there.

Biden has said that his administration will start making 500 million home tests available later this month - we'll see if that happens, but he DID promise 100 million shots in 100 million arms in the first 100 days of his Presidency, and his team more than delivered on that.

I just think DeSantis's comment about no one needed testing if they weren't sick until Covid came along was ridiculous. People have been tested for diseases without showing symptoms for decades. His own wife said she felt fine until a mammogram showed that she wasn't. He was just trying to find cover for the fact that his team screwed up the testing program by allowing a massive number of test kits to expire. That's not leadership.
