I bought a bunch of KN95 masks back in September for a trip and have found them much more comfortable - and comforting. But I'm not pushing my luck, even though I got my booster back in November as soon as I was eligible. I just hope that one lasts long enough for this current surge to fade out.
I know what you mean about cases hitting home. My 20-something niece (who's thankfully vaccinated) has it, but was doing well last I heard, just cold-like symptoms. However, I also recently heard that someone else I've met a few times, and who isn't vaccinated, is in the hospital on a ventilator. He's a fairly young man with small children... The most tragic part is that it might well have been prevented.
I'm praying that with Omicron flaming up quickly, it'll burn out fast. That's probably the best we can hope for now. |
