Too often people are looking to "link" a bad actor's actions to someone they don't agree with politically, even if there is absolutely no connection to be found in reality. If someone is intent on harming, and/or killing, others, they will find a way and will use whatever weapon(s) they can get their hands on. They are responsible for their own actions, not some politicians standing on the steps of the SCOTUS protesting a recent, or possible, ruling on a court case, or a different politician standing before a crowd and telling people to peacefully march to the capital.

I am surprised at the fact that she, and her supporters for her bill, have not been called out regarding the fact that there is no such thing as "hate speech". Just because someone says something that another disagrees with, does not make their speech this mythical "hate speech". Without question, there are times some people may find other's speech to be disagreeable, objectionable, or they may personally find it hateful, however, short of speech calling for illegal actions (call to action), which is not constitutionally protected, ONLY need for a constitutional protection IS for speech which others disagree with; Speech which everyone agrees with does not require government to be restrained from preventing it.

When someone claims that speech they personally disagree with is "hate speech", they should be challenged and educated that first, they are buying into a made up term and concept, and secondly, that they need to educate themselves much more on the topic itself so they may be better at communicating their objections, counter arguments, etc. intelligently and persuasively. Simply allowing people to continue to make up terms and change the meanings of words in order to fit their political agenda is exactly how we have arrived at this very situation of people in power introducing unconstitutional bills and having a long line of what some might describe as "useful idiots" standing up to support those, clearly unconstitutional, ideas and bills. Well that, and the fact that far too many people are so concerned about identity politics in that they will let identity politics stop them from pointing out things that are right, wrong, or even unconstitutional (i.e. they lack the spine to do what is right).
