In my opinion, if these people want to just set their hard-earned money on fire, they're free to do so. If after all this time they still can't see the con, they deserve to be fleeced. Stupidity is not a crime.
DeSantis is learning a painful lesson - his shtick doesn't resonate with voters outside of Florida, especially women voters. I'd be surprised if he makes it to the nominating convention, but it's early yet and a lot can happen between now and then.
