I used to use Firefox but switched to Chrome because Firefox did not operate properly on some pages.
Recently Chrome has stopped being able to load ANY of the pages on my local newspaper - I get a brief look at the page, and then it goes blank. Firefox worked fine, so I found myself having to use another browser just to read the local news and hoping that Google would fix whatever the glitch was. They didn't, and I finally decided it was stupid to use two browsers, so I switched back to Firefox. Then I read the article about what Chrome was doing with trackers, and I got a bit pissed.
I know for a fact that I was being followed by Chrome because of the ads I was seeing. So far, I have not seen that with Firefox, and I know you can lock down your privacy even more if you want or need to. There's zero motivation for Firefox to cater to advertisers. |
