Yes, Bear, I’m just anal like that. <g>
We’ve always gone the Medicare Advantage route. Hubby has had foot surgeries, cataract surgeries for both eyes, precancerous skin procedures because he is fair-skinned, blue-eyed thru Medicare … although I had all my surgeries before Medicare, I’m doing my best not to have to go under the knife now since Alzheimer’s runs in mom’s family and anesthesia could have a tendency of waking it up. This year’s policy comparisons were mostly due to regular doctor, eye, dental, dermatologist, and hearing and finding policies where each doctor accepted, and was in the same network, even though geographically the eye doctor is about 70 miles away from home address and still have access to medical care for 6 months of the year when we live at the cabin, 150 miles away from home. I’m able to drop a separate dental policy. With new policy and dropping separate dental, we are getting better coverage abd we’ll be saving over $200/month. Sometimes being anal pays off. |
