Thanks for the feedback, Carolyn! The CIGNA option is on my new dentist's list, but not Humana, so this helps a great deal! [I may have to get over my bias against CIGNA, though, 'cause I used to work in their regional HQ office years ago. Sometimes it's not good to know too much...]
I already wasn't happy with the MD I had before I switched to Medicare, so I was going to be making a change anyway. [I've had lots of bad luck with doctors - but also a few really good ones, mostly specialists, who I no longer need to see. Maybe I got spoiled... ]
Kaiser varies a great deal from one location to another (as do most networks), so it really does come down to an individual evaluation. Fortunately, I haven't had to deal with any significant illnesses since I joined there, so my experience has generally been very good. Sometimes, though, it feels like cookie cutter medicine, but I don't know how much of that was just my previous doc. (I had the same issue with him.) It may just be the nature of medicine today. Kaiser sure has saved me a lot of money, though.
