Two things would be issues to me: carrier must be in California — how many carriers are actually located in California? Secondly, “plan with equal or lesser benefits” — many people, at least me, shop or change policies for more benefits not less. Why would someone want less than they have now? I’ve received letters in the past “insurance is equal to or better.”

Maybe I’m not understanding Medigap thoroughly, but it appears that it is age-related, a 70+ year old individual pays more than a 65 year old and the gap widens with age. Hubby is 4 years older than me, and have not experienced age-related premiums with Advantage policies.
