Key word is "Plan". So an equal plan. Coverage wise, would be F to G, or G to F as an example. Only difference is one covers part D deductible.

The other type of move is from an F or G to an Advantage plan, considered a step down. But stepping from Advantage up to F or G is not allowed. These are just a couple of examples and are federal rules that CA is following.

Now that I have 2 extra months I'll ask my agent about having to use a CA carrier and if I can improve my rate.
