26 year old trucker Rogel Aguilera- Mederos was found guilty of several charges that included killing 4 motorists in 2019.
He was descending the road hauling lumber when his brakes gave out and he caused a major pileup.
According to Colorado law sentences run concurrently and the judge has no leeway.
Over 4 million people have contacted the governor of Colorado to step in and lessen the sentence.
They all believe he should serve some prison time, not even the victims' families believe he deserves such a harsh sentence.
Sounds like Colorado needs to look into it's law books on sentencing. |
