One of the best aphid predators besides lady bugs:

I'm not a fan of sweet alyssum because of its invasiveness. It is however extremely attractive to predator bugs.

Same with anything in the allium family: garlic, onions, chives. I planted a couple rows of a shorter variety of chives to allow them to flower around the brassicas. My understanding is they keep the cabbage moth away which will destroy your brassicas (dark, heavy veggies)

I also discovered basil will repel moths that lay tomato worm eggs. So, trying all those this year.

Herbs in general as companion pants, if allowed to flower, are a great addition. Or, sometimes the smell, like basil can help repel.
