We grew both in pots once. You're right about the turmeric, it too a long time to get started. They have a nice tropical look. I think it was the turmeric that struggled more probably because of our coastal weather.
Speaking of weather, we're expecting heavy rain this weekend. Will need to stake and tie the tomato plants tomorrow and put up a makeshift shelter over three of the beds with the tomatoes and peppers. The greens will love the rain. It's always a gamble planting early. It must be a real struggle in states that get regular rains during the summer. |
