That's really good! Around here there seems to be a few for sale with 30,000 miles or less selling rather reasonably for a newer car with lower miles. I paid just shy of $6k for mine and 26,000 miles, and is the Passion, still has a few months of factory warranty left. They had the Pure same price, but only 19,000 miles, but not the upgrades, so I went with more miles and more upgrades (love heated seats and alloy wheels). lol. I have had my eye on them for awhile, but never met anyone who has one, and do not see many on the road around here for some reason. There is no place here you can you get a really low mileage car for that price except for these. My insurance went up only $4.00 per month from basic to full coverage! I was so happy about that as well. We took the little panel off at the dealership, and did see where the wiper fluid and other fluid were located, and then peaked inside the car under the mat at the engine. It's good your husband is mechanical, that will save you some money. I am guessing the maintenance is not the cheapest on these little guys. I have to go out tonight for a 7 PM closing and will try the manual shifting, or try again tomorrow. I learned my lesson about random garages and cheap oil changes. Someone stripped the oil plug in the pan during an oil change in my trade in, and could not change the oil ever again without replacing the pan. They replaced it with an oversized plug. Once that is removed, nothing can go back in. Another reason that car had to go... For that reason, I will pay to go to the Smart center. I plan on keeping this a long time. So far I like it so much, I would consider another one when the time comes. My son is 6'4" tall, and can't wait to get him driving it...maybe he will get one as well. Can't beat the price and payments on them.
