Lack of power steering has never been a problem because it is so light and the size of front tires, there is very little friction. We have a 4/2 Passion. It doesn't like the snow, which you won't have to worry about. Cross winds are scary, but just go slower. Yes, it's quite snappy and you won't have a problem keeping up with Interstate traffic. You can keep it totally automatic or shift with steering paddles or the floor shifter. An icon appears on dash telling you when to shift. Being totally automatic, you can feel each shift, the same as a manual transmission-- you just don't have a clutch to depress. Read the manual. The door panels, etc, are plastic. If you damage one or simply want to change the color of your car, you simply get new panels. When we got ours, they had a model with the panels removed, on the showroom, revealing the steel cacoon (sp ??) that you are encased in. There is more legroom for the passenger, than I have in my Blazer SUV. You can turn on a dime. Once you get used to it, you will think of it as a little sports car. Enjoy. It is a lot of fun. |
