Sounds like an application for vital record. The customer must have signed and dated the application a day or more ahead of getting it notarized. Bone-headed agency will throw the Notary under the bus when the notarization was executed lawfully. As far as the customer goes, I'd notarize again at no charge but let them know that my portion of the transaction is lawful and correct and this new meeting warrants a new fee. However, I'm waiving the new fee "this time only" and please, going forward, do not sign and date a doc before being in the notary's presence.
Building goodwill with this customer may mean referrals from them for future business. I've received $100+ GNW referrals from one doc notarization appts. |
