Like VT said, need more info. Was this a request for a birth certificate? Since you can notarize a signature that's 20 years old, for example, (as long as you're completing an ack, not a jurat), what does it matter what the signature date is. Some bureaucrat probably came up with the idea that the signature and date must match and included it in the software, thinking it made sense at the time ….
In any case, looks like Option 1 is best bet. I do like Option 3; just make sure all your attorney fees will be reimbursed! |
