"The left"? Who exactly would that be? I don't recall seeing anything about a petition signed by every left-winger in America asking Obama to pardon illegals. Could you be more specific?
"You are buying into the Dems propaganda of Trump hysteria. If it were 2008 the "in" thing would be to call Trump hysteria, racist, but we have grown past that mess. "
I'm not buying into anything - what I am doing is repeating what Gingrich said on the record about how Trump could get around the conflicts of interest faced by members of his administration. Neither propaganda nor hysteria - simple fact. It has nothing to do with racism, and I don't understand why you brought that up in this context - it's all about a bunch of rich folks being appointed to government positions where they could be in a position to increase their wealth by putting their personal interests ahead of what's best for the country.
Oh, and the stuff Trump railed against about big donors getting favors? Linda McMahon, his nominee for SBA administrator, was the largest donor to the DJT Foundation - $5 million. Drain the swamp? Seems like he's just adding more water.
"Again, the OP was regarding Obama's net worth. Something tells me that the millions-billions they will make over their lifetime as ex-president & ex-first lady will somehow not reach that level of "at some point, you've made enough" he once claimed existed. I predict that he will remain a hypocrite to the end. "
Come on, Chris - they will not make billions. Millions, yes - between his existing book royalties, his Presidential pension, and the speaking fees he will get as a former President, they will be quite comfortable.
Just like every other ex-President.
Once you're elected President, your net worth is going to soar. You seem to be suggesting that Obama is somehow different, that for some reason he doesn't deserve what every President before him has achieved financially. I don't know the context of what you say he said that "at some point, you've made enough", but I also don't recall him ever taking a vow of poverty.
Ex-Presidents make a LOT of money - and if Trump plays his cards right after he leaves office in 4 years (or less), he might actually become the billionaire he claims to be.
