This terminology applies to activities that typically don't fit into traditional or "normal" ways of earning a living; it's a hustle or struggle since your earning potential is generally up to Y O U.
I have friends who'd never consider a "hustle," side or otherwise; they Have to have the stability of a fixed routine, salary, regularity of a paycheck, etc.
Honestly, if a person is fit I'm not sure why she wouldn't work a regular salaried job - and keep the nsa work as the side gig. In this economy, you don't hustle, you go broke. Gone are the days (whenever those were) where supervising the mail-away closing paid the bills. At least that's the case for most.
