Now is not the time to quit your full time job to start this business. Business is down more than 50% for the best of us who do only this. JMO
I have been in this line of work long enough to know, those classes are not necessary, and you will soon learn that many SS want you to take their classes and certifications with them. It's a way they make money. When I started out, I joined the NNA which is way overpriced, BUT they do offer a hotline for phone calls when you need them, which in the beginning can be good for you.
