the DMV electronically. It would be real easy to take her stamp, copy it and file electronically.
I posted a couple of months ago about my experience with getting my wife's car title and what I had to go thru.
Long story short, we paid our loan to chase so after we paid if off I went to get the Title from the DMV. The DMV showed ON MY TITLE that Wachovia was the lien holder. Excuse me but Wachovia's assets had been purchased by Wells Fargo....who had no record of the transaction. Backtracking I found out the Wachovia filed electronically and Wells Fargo still does it the old fashion way. That's why there was no record.
So look at your Title and see who the lien holder is and if you're sending payments to someone else....you are going to have a problem getting your title once your auto is paid for. |
