Not true in Texas, nor in most other states as far as I know. You cannot backdate for ANY reason. The date of your notarization has to be the date you put your pen to paper - no exceptions. If there's an error, even if it's your fault, they have to appear before you again. I find it hard to believe that the NNA would state otherwise - it's just not legal. |
