Acknowledgements do not need to be re-signed, but only re-acknowledged. This distinction could have major consequences, which is why I'm pointing it out.

If you were to insist that a DOT be re-signed and the signer dates that 2nd signature (or worse, that you present them with a 'clean' signature page to sign and they date that) - it could cause the lender to spit coffee all over it, have a near-emotional collapse and place any nearby co-workers at risk of exposure to high-decibel ranting.

Of course, the date of your notarial certificate would reflect the date of the re-acknowledgement of the previously executed signature.
