Rules would be borrowers meet me in a location and at a time convenient to me. Not convenient? Sorry, turn back signing. I wear sweats; don't worry about my hair, my manicure (kinda like a day around the house); borrower copy consists of HUD, TIL, note and RTC ... you want more? I'll e-mail it to you. Oh, and strictly point'n'sign ... well, maybe not. point'n'signs could take longer than a brief explanation of each doc cos they might tend to read otherwise. Yikes! Can't have any readers. I'll play that by ear. Anyway, in'n'out. Wanna complain to your LO or lender? Why would it bother me? The lender and TC are obviously using a low-rent SS, and they'll get what they pay for: Very little. Oh, and you don't pay me? You don't wanna go there. Everybody from the borrower to HUD will hear about it.
I turn down 9 out of 10 calls and have never responded to anything sent to me via Snapdocs. Among those SSs that have contacted me just this year and whom I have rejected because of poor SC comments and complaints in an Orange search: Closing Group, The Closer, Creative, Notary Direct, Mortgage Doc, Mortgage Connect, North American Signing, Notary Near You, Pacdocsign, SoCal, Coast2Coast, Premier Notary, Signing Stream. And these are just the ones I've bothered to put "DNA" into my phone.
HOWEVER, and point is: my fellow NSAs up here in the mountain towns apparently can't wait to grab these up... so why not give them a run for the business by accepting even lower fees? I think this would be fun! Show 'em just how low we can go. |
