| One must remember outside of the U.S. (with the exception of Louisiana and Puerto Rico) a notary is an attorney with additional training in notarial practice and usually an apprenticeship after the schooling. In the case of French notaries, one must have an undergraduate degree in law, then attain a Masters of Law, followed by a 2-year in-office traineeship. So what you probably received was from a Europe-based recruiter who doesn't know that the typical U.S. notary is quite different (and much more restricted) from a French notary. |
