And, this is exactly why I've gotten into the habit of calling the facility's ombudsman or facility director PRIOR to appointment -- to ask if it's ok for resident/patient to sign financial/real estate documents. If I know from the onset where signing is to take place, I make that call prior to confirming with borrowers.

Just my practice. Tends to save everyone time and frustration.
