<<<I just realized that most of the people on here complaining about the $60.00 cattle call fees, crossing the picket line, and not being able to negotiate for a higher fee are notaries in the State of California. I do not work for snap-docs, I do not work for any companies offering $60.00 cattle call fees, there is no picket line to cross,....>>>
The real issue isn't the bashing of notaries who accept $60 - $90 signings. The REAL ISSUE is that these notaries want to come on this forum to freely whine and complain about the scope of work they're required to complete (full package fax/scan backs, 60 mile one-way trip, 200+ page packages, signing with POAs, 3 hour signings with reader borrowers, etc.) for the $60 - $90 they agreed to. ***They want to gripe without anyone challenging them*** on the fact that they volunteered NOT to make a profit at $60 - $90 for a full fax/scan back package, 200+ pages, at 60 miles one way.
If NSAs don't want to be challenged on what they volunteer for and complain about, then don't post complaints. If you have "bills to pay" and accept whatever, accept it without complaint. It's really as simple as that.
I won't waste time explaining the point of my "picket line" comment as any explanation will be misunderstood as well. The negotiation "wiggle room" for low fees is most likely $20 max. That means if a $60 fee is offered, a NSA countering with $125 will be told, "Let's see if I can get that approved". Either the fee will be <falsely> approved, just to get the order filled with no intention by the company to pay the NSA at all, or no return call to the notary....the scheduler will move on to the next NSA on the list. It's utterly ridiculous to imply that negotiations will yield a professional fee ($150+) up from a $60 - $90 lowball fee offer.
