When you go renew your Alabama DL, they take your picture, then hand you the paper copy (which is good for 30 days), and mail you the normal copy. I had no idea it wasn't valid for notarizations...never had one handed to me at a closing. It would never have occurred to me to check the website, since I get one of those myself every 3 years.
