My guess is that this person put "we" to try to look more professional, but it's just a guess. I've been amazed at how many notary websites are written that way. Unfortunately, as we've seen, it either makes them look like a signing service or a newbie who doesn't know better.
I'd also be careful about claiming expertise unless it's true. Better to say nothing than have them think that you're just not too bright when errors or questions you have just mean you're still on a learning curve. The exception, of course, would be if a new NSA has a background working in an escrow office, for example. Short of previous work experience, there will definitely be a learning curve for anyone, regardless of how much training they've had or how smart they are!
As for the "certifying" verbiage, again, I'm guessing that it's just a lack of knowledge. The old learning curve... |
