Welcome Amanda! I would like to add a note about the ink pens. I keep at least five of each color at all times (Black and Blue) because there are usually three individuals at the table. Two signers and myself. If for some reason you leave any of the pens in a hurry, you would be left with only the ones left in your bag and if a pen runs out of ink, you would end up sharing pens.
I am commissioned in three states. Minnesota and Iowa have blue as the default color. Wisconsin has to be black ink (although there are a few counties that will accept blue). If you are a signing agent, you might have to have your borrowers sign documents from another state that would require black. At least one out of every twenty signings I do are for borrowers traveling from other states or buying or selling property in another state. It is always good to be prepared for the unexpected. |
