Sign up with the 4 star companies in Signing Central. 3 star are still kind of "iffy". I try to do at least 2-3 per day, however, the market is historically slow this time of year. I have gone a whole week sometimes with NO calls....then have 5 in a day. Seasoned pros with an established book of business can do 5 - 10 per day. It has taken us years to build up our client base. I don't do any loan signings for under $100. I have travelled to homes that I can walk to or gone as far as Oxnard or Coronado. I'm in the OC....which I have heard is the most saturated county in the state for notaries per capita. Established EO's, LO's, and realtors have their preferred notaries that they go to. Work direct if you can and cut out the middle man SS. As far as supplies, lots of blue pens, black pens, clear notary stamp so you can see where your stamps is going, 2-3 thumbprint pads. Yes, once in a while, someone has a cut on their thumb and bleeds in your thumbprint pad.

I think we all wish you success in your endeavors. It's just pretty much every day a new notary comes on the forum asking for how to get started and get jobs. Right now, it's pretty cutthroat. Research the companies offering you signings. You may get offered a great fee....but, never get paid or take a lower fee with promises of volume.....and never get paid.

Have a great signing day today everyone! Smile
