Just curious...when people rebuild after a fire, are they required to meet new building codes when it comes to fires and such? In FL when a hurricane hits, new codes as far as wind and flooding go into place, so the next time, structures are not blown away and built to last, houses are built on piers to prevent flooding and washout. Just curious if they make homeowners build with cinder-block and flame retardant roofs now? Clear brush away 200 feet from homes and sheds... Does the county do controlled burns to prevent all this? FL has controlled burns all the time to get rid of the chance of huge fires. It seems CA is always burning somewhere, and should be a way how to at least control this utter destruction somehow. What measure take place after a huge fire like this to prevent it from happening again? |
