As we all know, work has been very slow lately. Yesterday, my phone started ringing off the hook from other than slow-pay/no-pay companies. Wonderful ... I'm on a high! Then ...
1. Receive call 2/21st at 8:30 am for Chase 2-part signing on 2/23rd at 1pm. Get confirmation. 7 minutes later, get notice of cancellation. 30 minutes later, get call asking if I'm available for same signing but on 2/22nd at 10am. Ok. No docs by 6am on 2/22nd. Call and I'm told signing has been rescheduled for 2/23rd 10am. Ok. Call borrower at 8:04. Guess what? He hadn't been notified! We confirm for 2/23 at 10am. Still waiting for docs.
2. Receive call 2/21st, 3:09pm from 4-1/2 star SS for hard money purchase. Has to sign same evening but SS waiting for borrower to return call. Docs are ready. An hour later, SS instructs me to call borrower. He finally returns my call at 5:17. He's in Bakersfield (I'm 5 hours away in Rocklin). I ask him to hold so I can conference him in with SS so they can find another NSA for him at his location. He says he's at construction site and will have to call back and hangs up. I notify SS and we scrub that one.
3. Receive call 2/21st, 1:34pm from another 4-1/2 star SS for purchase to be signed at lender's office on 2/22nd at noon. They will print and they will drive docs to title. Yay, no print, no drop off! Everything confirmed with lender on 2/21st. Get call from lender 2/22nd, 9:30am. They're under a new parent company, things are being revamped so docs are still going through compliance and won't be ready by noon. Do I have any availability late this afternoon or 8am on 2/23rd (before borrowers go to work)? I do at this point. Just let me know ASAP so I don't schedule something that may conflict.
Whew ... talk about flexibility!! I feel like I could be an Olympic gymnast. Luckily, the rest of my scheduled assignments seem sane and secure ... so far! LOL
