or settlement agent? if lender had instructed title/settlement agent to obtain "alive and well" doc, then the lender has a beef with them, not with you of course. Sounds like there's a miscommunication somewhere. Also, IMHO, the request for you to get the doc signed should come from whoever hired you for the original signing. Kinda sounds like the lender is hoping you do it so they don't have to pay and involve title/settlement agent to obtain signed doc, after the fact, that lender should have taken care of prior to closing. As an Lender/Mortgage Broker, I would never have closed on a poa signing without all my ducks in a row beforehand. |
