If/when a correction happens, it'll be interesting to see if some of the mistakes from the past slowdown happen again and if any of these properties end up underwater as a result of big cash-outs. I imagine the risks will vary greatly from one market to another and one buyer to another. But I hope we don't have a repeat of so many people over-extending themselves to 'get in before it's too late' only to end up losing their home. Hopefully the tighter underwriting requirements since then will hold up enough to keep that from happening on a widespread basis.
