I have never seen any proposal that would hide the identity of the signer from a web-cam notary, nor have I ever seen any proposal to allow a web-cam notary to perform a notarization unless the web-cam notary could see, hear, and interact with the signer.
The one piece that would be hidden from the notary is the signer's answers to the knowledge-based authentication. So when the signer is given a multiple-choice answr about what street the signer lived on in 2005, the notary will not see the question, or the answer. The platform will only report to the web-cam notary that the signer passed the knowledge-based authentication. |
