conversation between LPC and HeatherR/CA
Posted by Meagan LPC of KY on 3/26/18 1:22pm Msg #591566
Good afternoon,
As I am reading these posts we all find it very entertaining and I just wanted to chime in and give you the actually conversation between Heather and I. We try to be as fair as possible with fees and signings and would never force a notary to accept an assignment if they did not agree to the fees. All of our fees are always negotiable and if you speak to the people that we do work with they would attest to that. If you don't want to take the assignment for the fee, simply don't take it. We have always paid extra for fax backs and witnesses. Florida is where the property was located so that is why a witness was required as Florida is a witness state. The information below is the actual conversation that took place.

ME: Hey!!!! This is Meagan with LPC. I have a seller side of a purchase loan signing on 04/06 at 12pm on PIO PICO DRIVE CARLSBAD, CA 920081 and I was wondering if you would be available? Fri, 2:18 PM
HEATHER: I am available. What are you paying Fri, 2:20 PM
ME: Perfect! You will need to bring an unofficial witness to the closing location with you. Title also requires the executed documents to be scanned and emailed for review and approve, prior to leaving the clients and prior to dropping the package off at UPS. The signing location has a scanner. We have this one posted at $40 just for the signing. Since you will need to bring a witness with you, what would your fee be? Fri, 2:20 PM
HEATHER: Way too low, and i do not bring witnesses. Passing on this. Fri, 2:21 PM
ME: Thank you Fri, 2:22 PM
HEATHER: Was in a signing. I will now respond. Insulting disgusting and ridiculous. I would not walk out my door for less than 50.00 for anything Notarial. What you required for this job would be a fee of no less than 175:00
Remove me from your list. Fri, 2:46 PM
ME: I am very sorry you feel that way and did not at all mean to insult you. It is just my job to ask and locate a notary who is available. You could have given me the fee and I could have sent it off for approval. As stated before, that $40 is just what we have this one posted for as many people are available for the $40 fee and then charge additional for the witness. Our fees our not set and stone, they are negotiable. The signers are able to scan back from the closing location and they set that up before hand due to having to keep down the traveling for the notary. I will remove you from our list. You have great weekend! Smile Fri, 2:56 PM
