| Yikes! Hopefully one of our tax experts will help you out. It sounds like you've already filed your taxes. Still, it's been my observation that the IRS computers, as well as your state's, are set up to very easily match a 1099 to your EIN or SSA, so you can bet they will jump all over that missing 1099 when they see your business income doesn't list it. Do you have a tax person you could ask? Or be brave and actually call the IRS tax help line. You could also just file an amended return. Our notary/tax experts are probably so busy right now they're not reading the board much. But you could also PM Sue Harke (she's in Sacramento CA). Isn't there some penalty for sending out late 1099s? What a mess! |
