Many are out & out scams & you're the only person the client is ever going to see. IMO you could be pulled into court as an accomplice to the crime.
Did they collect any money from this person?
In the future, people can get help at no cost from local Consumer Credit Counseling organizations. They will negotiate with the creditors for reduced payments, etc. Again, you can't advise people but it's good information to have. |
