Not sharing NPPI.


Yes, the email was directly from PayPal (they confirmed that it was not a 'phishing' email).


Yes, the want to link my banking account to the PayPal account (Not in this lifetime). They also mentioned (as I stated in my OP) that I can simply enter a credit card as the Primary Funding Source for any automatic payments (there are none established within my account) as an alternative to using your PayPal balance linked to a banking account.



NOTE:
In PayPal's perspective, "Verify" your account is one Process that they utilize when you open/activate your account. Another post above was intimating that my account was not Verified, which it has been for years.

"Confirm" is a separate Process that they utilize for transferring funds to or from your banking institution, which I've never requested (that contains their NPPI requirement) and I will never do.
