years ago, I would agree with your decision not to invest in extra equipment at this point. I had done that then & took a hit for the extra costs. No volume of work ever materialized. Again, don't confuse e-signings with e-notarization. With e-signings there are usually paper docs involved for the critical docs--Note, DOT, etc. It's mostly the disclosures that are e-signed. I ended up usually doing them from the borrowers computer, which was more secure for them anyway. If you're ever in the market for an inexpensive tablet, I bought an Amazon Fire Tablet (8") for about $60. I've had other devices, but really use this one a lot. Amazon has their own "Silk" browser. I did put Sophos security on the device, of course. I use Sophos on my cell phone too. as well as Ad Blocker. |
