Maybe it comes from my previous life as a skip tracer, asset manager (defaulted non-performing real estate loan portfolios), but a good many people in our industry could and do have a dark past that could forewarn me not to accept their offer for work. So a long time ago, I began googling people, their phone numbers and addresses. Soon I began receiving alerts to check out "mug shots" and "arrest logs" that go way back, simply because not all arrest records can be expunged.
