Yes, someone there should definitely create docusign account.
As for your other Logical conclusion: "scanning a paper signature, cropping the photo, and using the fill and sign feature of Adobe Reader" - that's MY go-to remedy when it comes to MY "wet signature" deployment. BUT (and a big one) strategy doesn't work for adding other people's signature, as I discovered in June when helping a R.E. broker/developer/investor who was out of the country. There were multiple docs in a govt proposal package needing his signature; I had him scan his Hancock and email to me (he accessed a French speaking Kinkos) from down in Sub-Suharan Africa. Government needs wet signatures so had some work bordering finagling to "apply." Since I was the project mgr. I had the office "kids" (twenty-somethings and sweet) hard at work. One of them came up with the paint idea from the computer while I struggled and pleaded with MS WORD to let me save image before placing in document and converting to Adobe! It was not happening. Ms. moonlighting PM had them print out signature (address labels) and stick 'em on! Need Mega energy and organization to do that FT - and that was just 1 client.
If this man hasn't created a signature Stamp by now, he may not be getting any more out of me anymore. (That is, unless he is awarded the bid)
P.s. I did search to see how many signatures Reader would allow. It only recognized mine and wouldn't allow for a Fill In of the other without the subscription service (I told client he had to remedy THAT, too). Some stuff just has to be Back-office. Period. |
