Re: Supreme court vote

How do you know she's a "never Trumper"? All indications are that she has always been apolitical - please cite some evidence to prove your accusation. And what justifies your calling her a "ding dong"?

She came forward in what she thought would be a confidential statement, basically just asking that the background investigation include this incident. It wasn't until her name was leaked by someone and her story was being misrepresented that she found the courage to go public. And because of that, she's being vilified by small-minded individuals who will NEVER believe a woman over a man. She has received death threats - and so has Kavanaugh's wife. That's what this country has come to.

According to a number of prosecutors and former prosecutors - some of who now serve in Congress - over 60% of the victims of sexual assault never report the crime. Does that make their assailant not guilty? I spent a couple of years working as a court advocate for victims of domestic violence, and I saw first-hand how reluctant many women are to press charges, and most because they feared it would appear like there was something wrong with THEM, as your "ding dong" comment shows.

Dr. Ford did reveal the incident to a therapist 6 years ago, long before Kavanaugh was ever considered for a spot on SCOTUS - that much is a fact. She also took and passed a polygraph test - also a fact. She named at least one other person in the room at the time - a friend of Kavanaugh's, who would not reasonably be expected to support her story and who the GOP majority refuses to question. That individual - Mark Judge - has written a book that basically says he spent that part of his life in an alcohol haze and was subject to blackouts, and includes a reference to his friend "Bert O'Kavanaugh" who often got so drunk that he was vomiting all over himself. Yet you have chosen to call HER a "ding dong" as if there's something wrong with her and she shouldn't be believed. Please tell me, why should Kavanaugh be believed when he was too drunk to remember that part of his life?

Ask yourself - why would she fabricate a story and include a witness in the room who would not be favorable to her, and then ask the FBI to investigate? On what planet does that make any sense?

Dr. Ford deserves to be heard and not dismissed as a crazy person by small-minded individuals who think the male is always right.
