This is about Judge Kavanaugh, not the Dems. Either the allegations are true - in which case he's disqualified - or they're not true. There's no middle ground. The only way to gather evidence to show if the allegations are true is to investigate them, something the GOP majority absolutely refuses to do. They prefer to take one person's word against the other rather than look at actual evidence.
Lying to the FBI is a felony. Dr. Ford has literally begged that the FBI get involved again in the background investigation and is willing to talk to them, knowing what the consequences of a lie would be. Her allegations put a witness, Mark Judge, in the room at the time. Who names a witness in a story they are making up?
At the same time, both Kavanaugh and Judge REFUSE to talk to the FBI about this. Ask yourself this question - whose behavior seems more suspicious? |
