I am so sorry for your loss Bagger and that's a tough decision. I watched both parents die of cancer and if there was an easier way to ease their pain and suffering, I would have provided it for them. Unfortunately not in this country. I did a similar thing with my mom who was terminal and the last time we decided not to go to the hospital, rehab, home circle routine, and just let the VITAS Society come in for her end-of-life care. (6 months) Towards the very end, she stopped eating and drinking, and was a hard thing to watch her pass away slowly. I agree abortion is not the same thing. That's ending a perfectly healthy start of life vs. a life well spent and at the end of their life with illness. IDK, it's a personal choice, action, conviction inside of each of us, and if you believe in judgement day, your life flashing before you...then you pay that price I guess. If you don't believe it, then it's your decision and can easily live with it without another thought. |
